As we look back on Steve Jobs’ life, we see a deeply admirable vitality. When I found out he passed away, I surprised for how deeply I was affected. I had never met him, nor had I skipped work to brave the release of a new Apple product. Something inside of me was moved, and I didn’t exactly know what. I realized that many people had found out about his death on technology he designed.

There is hardly a life on this planet that has remained untouched by the innovations brought upon by this man. His contributions brought the future to us.

With the ability to “tell people what they want”, Jobs was given a title not often given to an entrepreneur: visionary. His remarkable foresight coupled with his tenacious drive will continue to inspire the spirit of Steve Jobs within us all.

He once said, “Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart. … Stay hungry. Stay foolish.” Jobs’ understanding of the human condition was far beyond many in the public sphere.

The magnificent legacy of a visionary will not be forgotten.
